Well, in a proverbial pile of bits I've acquired is a 1939 OG/OH bottom end. Quite an interesting find for me as it's the first steel Ariel crankshaft I've seen. Documentation for these models seems thin on the ground so could anyone tell me if the engine used the same bearings and stroke as the 1939 NH350? I've checked the Drags website but nothing is listed there.

A parts book would tell you the answer to the bearings and the owner's guide or sales catalogue the answer to the stroke, all available on the club's web library.
2 of the bearings are the same, although the 350 has 3 bearings not two 1430-26 and 1440-30
They both have a stroke of 85mm

Thanks Roger. I had a look on the club's web library but the 1939 singles parts book is missing some pages & I hadn't spotted the 250 singles doc. I'll blame the vino
