Ariel KH Timing Gear question

Post by Keith.owen »

Hi all,
having just acquired a 1952 KH project, and beefore I do something daft, does anyone know which way the nuts holding the sprockets onto the camshafts and crank are directioned?

Are they clockwise to tighten, or anticlockwise?

Thanks and BR,

Keith

Clockwise to tighten. Someone will undoubtedly correct me if I am wrong but I can't think of a left hand thread anywhere on the KH.

Thanks Paul!

I 'found' a bottom end (almost complete) that is a bit rusty, but since it is not in a frame, hard to hold firmly. I don't want to be fighting aginst myself by trying to further tighten the nuts!
