Plunger to locate neutral. Leader Arrow gearbox.
Plunger to locate neutral. Leader Arrow gearbox.
I have found that the plunger which locates on the dimple in the change mechanism jams the mechanism. The gearbox works well without it. The engine/gearbox is from an old Leader. Was there some difference between the Arrow and Leader which is causing this? It would be good to have this positive neutral location.

Gearboxes are identical. You mean the T796 plunger, try a new one, readily available

I'd wondered if Richard could be describing a defective neutral light switch, an option for Leaders.
The switch screws into the gearbox casing by the rear suspension.

Yeah I wondered as well. Same as a Landrover part
