'55 VH Dual Seat Cover Fitting

Post by bruno.crossley »

I am currently trying to reupholster the dual seat on my 54/55 VH. I have modified a later seat pan, dropping the front portion to align with the rear of the fuel tank. I have organised the foam and bought a 54 spec cover from RK Leighton. I've fitted a thin, narrow protective strip to the raw edge if the pan. I'm now ready to fasten the cover to the pan.
Am I right in thinking that the only thing holding it on is contact adhesive? Does anyone have any other upholsery tips?

Cheers, Mark
