Arrow Speedo
Arrow Speedo
My speedo is seriously over reading. For example when according to a local speed sign I am doing 23 mph the speedo says about 33. Is there any difference between the gearing for the Arrow and Leader, either cogs in the box or the speedo drive?

Re: Arrow Speedo
The Arrow 200 had a different set of speedo gears in the gearbox to suit the 49 tooth back
sprocket fitted - 250s having the Ariel standard 47 teeth, Otherwise Leaders and Arrows
shared the same mechanism.
Magnetic speedos often seriously exaggerate the true speed due to drag between the rotating
magnet and its surrounding disc due to excessive friction A good clean and suitable
lubrication usually sorts it out.
Is the odo recording the mileage properly? If it isn't you may have the wrong speedo head
which won't help.
