NOS W/NG frame
NOS W/NG frame
W/NG frame was on offer at Pugh's auction today, looked to be NOS. Pic attached of the interesting bit (sorry if pic comes out upside down!). Was the contract plate a common feature?

Re: NOS W/NG frame
I have not seen that plate before but it is the part number for the frame not a contract number. This frame does not appear in any contract and was no doubt supplied as spare, no doubt as part of a contract but they were, annoyingly, never listed in the despatch books, however many have turned up. Number is stamped in an unusual place, it is usually to the left a bit, where the saddle stay fits into the forging.
