Recognise or know anyone in these photos?
My grandfather owned the first Square Four Ariel bought in Australia. Purchased through Pages Motorbikes Townsville, Queensland. His name was Patty Arnold. In the group photo I think there maybe Reg Hinspeter and a Harry Page? My Grandad was the little guy in the middle. Apparently he wond the fastest lap time around the city in Townsville. My Dad turns 80 next year and I would love for him to either meet up with some of his fathers mates or sit on an Ariel like his Father, my Grandfather had if there was one around still!

I can't say much about the first photo except the bikes are pre 1939.
The 2nd one is of a 1000cc ohv SQ4 made in 1937 or 1938. The first bike shipped to Australia, although not necessarily the first one sold was DK 102
The 3rd one is a side valve single, probably a VB again from about 1936-38.
Without any numbers I can't really tell you any more but Col Hill of the AAR may be able to, especially the people Col Hill aarsec@outlook.com.
I have known Geoff Hinspeter for many years who is presumably son of Reg

Oh wow, thank you! Some info I didnt know around the models. Much appreciated. If Geoff Hinspeter could see these pictures and confirm that its his Dad Reg, that would be great. Assuming Geoff is maybe around my Dads age (1945).
