As of midnight 30th Sept/1st Oct we've put in SSL certificates and moved the Website and the Forum to https.
This will get rid of the annoying 'insecure' tag in the browser URL line.
It should make it easier for documents (etc) to be downloaded without having to jump through a browser security barrier. However in my experience some types of documents don't escape from being branded as 'dangerous files' regardless so this may depend on the security settings on the individual computer (or device). It may not be completely unavoidable.
Hopefully it will also make it easier for folk trying to get access from inside 'secured' networks - usually a place of work!
