Arrow tyres

Post by eadriclloyd »

Can anyone recommend available 16 inch tyres?
For the past 7 years I have used Michelin M45 tyres for front and back wheels which have given excellent handling and road adhesion.
Unfortunately Michelin do not appear to make the tyre anymore and they do not show up on the internet.
I tried a Mitas H-05 a few years ago on the front wheel and the handling was poor.
Heidenau make a 3.25 x 16 tyre denoted as K36 which may be worth a go but at £80 +, some recommendation would be a comfort.
Thanks, Eddie Lloyd

I've had the same problem - no choice at all in what 16" tyres I could get. Had to fit Mitas but they're H-06 and so far they seem fine. (I've been pleasantly surprised by them - I'm no knee-downer but I am used to modern Avons/Bridgestones on the other bikes. Not done an awful lot of miles though - maybe only 500 and nearly all dry.)
