Ariel NH350 1957 Red Hunter for sale
Ariel NH350 1957 Red Hunter for sale
I bought this recently but unfortunately it’s just too heavy for me to manage with my disability so reluctantly I am having to put it up for sale.
Older restoration but still presentable that starts easily and runs well, I can send you a video and photos via WhatsApp by request.
Gearbox functions nicely, brakes work fine, new rear shocks, tyres have great tread, paint and chrome presentable, not a show bike so please study photos as they form part of the description.
When I bought it the previous owner told me that a new wiring loom had been fitted but however it wasn’t charging however he said all lights, brake light & horn work with a battery so it was possibly a rectifier or dynamo problem.
Since charging the battery I noticed the brake light was permanently on so I have adjusted this and will test to see if it discharges again. This doesn’t stop the bike from running though.
Been stood for a while so will want a go through, I haven’t been able to ride it on the road.
Comes with a Waller ARIEL manual that covers all models.
Collection from Kettering Northamptonshire.
Listed on eBay on a 7 day auction.

I would be interested to know the frame number so I can help you to know the bike a little better. It has all the appearance of a 1954-55 NH apart from what I can read of the frame number in your photographs which is only the prefix 'PR' which is 1956 or possibly 'APR' which is 1957. The reg is an age related number, so doesn't help.

The APR bit makes sense as this is 1957 but there is one digit too many in the numeric part. APR 8621 was a 1957 NH despatched to Weymouth; APR 6210 was a 1957 FH despatched to new York. The engine is a 1955 NH and matches the rest of the bike except for the frame number. None of these numbers are listed on the register, please have another look at the frame number.

I didn't try the combination! APR 8620 was a 1957 NH despatched to York

Very good to know. Thanks very much Roger. Apologies for the extra digit. I typed that while a passenger in a car heading into a traffic jam and had to sort a detour plan out
