Re: 1929/30 girder fork blades
Apologies Vincent for not using "Wanted" section. Have not been on Forum for a while. But just to finish the thread - Simon, I do have the original set and they looked OK; however, close inspection showed cross tube between friction plates bent seizing shaft, one of the friction plates also bent ...

Pin striping on 1928 Ariel Tanks
Does anyone have an evidence-based view on what the pin striping was like on 1928 tanks? Was it just a gold line or thick gold thin blue (which I reckon looks great). Was there lining on the top part of the tank? Being a hand made decoration, I understand that the basic dimensions will have varied ...

1928 OHV cams
I am inspecting a 1929 OHV motor I recently purchased that externally looks like a model E twin port. Internally the rod seem to be from 1927 twin port E. No drama. I am wondering how to identify which cam I have. There is the standard 1928 model C and D cam with is also run in the SV, the standard ...

Re: cork plunger taps
Thanks all for the interesting tips. I bought some "corks" from Dragonfly recently and they were composite. They are quite hard and do not compress, soften or swell in boiling water or petrol. The few that I bought varied in size slightly but managed to find one of just the right size for a firm fit ...

Re: New forum member.
Dear John,
I like the 1928 Ariel. I recently also acquired the makings of a 1928 - a basket case but it lacks an engine. I don't suppose you have come across anyone with an unloved engine or parts thereof? Either SV or OHV.
Also looking for an oil viewer/regulator.
