Re: 1937 VH Project
Does the handlebar clamp (4850-34 / D10-111) have a correct side?? I installed it with the casting number on top.
It is too close to the tank and it touches the panel even with the distance washer (4829-36) installed.

Re: 1937 VH Project
Hi Nev, it is not bronze it’s just shiny due to the photo angle and the other one also new but machined a bit on the end (looks like broken off).

Re: 1937 VH Project
So after a few rejections from some machine shops to fix my cylinder head, i found a local guy who installed steel valve seats at 0.006” interference fit. He did machine slightly one valve guide though to get his tool there..
Let’s see if it works and for how long.

Re: 1937 VH Project
Further to the head/valve/rocker issues i have decided to prepare a 34’ (i believe) cylinder head i have to fit in case the one I have now installed can’t be fixed properly. The problem is that I don’t know how the head bolts look like. I found the P/N and some dims of the bolts from the 34’ spare ...

Re: 1937 VH Project
Hi Volker, indeed there isn’t much space to shorten the valve. It looks like that without the cap.
