Update:
In response to my enquiry, Draganfly wrote that cylinder liners and pistons were available after all.
I have now ordered them and arranged with Motoren Graf near Freiburg to install the cylinder liners. They will also check the connecting rods for cracks.

Re: KH 500 Twin: cylinder overhauling and spares
Thanks for all the hints.
On their website IMD does not list KH pistons. But I found some suitable at Ebay. But as long as I can`t get the liners it does not make sense to buy them now.
Maybe I have to wait, until liners and pistons are available at Draganfly (backorder status) or Spares for 4 ...

KH 500 Twin: cylinder overhauling and spares
Hi All
The short story:
Is there currently any way of finding out whether there are any standard-sized cylinder liners and pistons for my KH 500 Hunter Twin in the Club's stock of spare parts and whether there is any chance of obtaining some in the next few weeks?
I know that the twin spares are ...

Re: KH 500: loosening the footrest bolt
Today I followed the Micks method to pull out the footrest stud and it works well.
I had not the time today to try the same with the swingarm stud. The weather was too good and I took my BMW for the first ride this year.

Re: KH 500: loosening the footrest bolt
Hi Simon,
Now that I know how to get the long stud out of the frame, I'm optimistic I can do it with the method described and a little heat from the hot air gun. I will report back.
With regard to the swingarm stud and the bushes in fact, nothing is loose or makes a bad impression on me. The plan ...

Re: KH 500: loosening the footrest bolt
Hi Martin
The splined bush you have arrowed above is welded to the frame tube, the long footrest stud just slides out, (or it would if not corroded or bent).
Regards Mick

Re: KH 500: loosening the footrest bolt
Mick, Pete,
Thank you for your suggestions.
Before I use a destructive method, I think I will try Mick's method.
I also often have good results when dissolving material by heating. Maybe I will do a combination of penetration fluid and heat.

Re: KH 500: loosening the footrest bolt
That footrest rod looks bent to me. I'd probably cut it right through the spacer in the middle - these bits are readily available or easily made. You'll then pull out the two halves without damaging the frame or the engine plates.
Thanks Simon.
But what is the regular way to remove the rod if ...

Just the tie stud of the swingarm cannot be removed. I read on Draganfly that this can only be done by burning out the rubbers
