Job lubrication

I have helped a friend to rebuild his 1934 250cc which we have just got running for the first time. The engine is the pre enclosed rocker box type with the chrome plated side plates supporting the rocker gear. The top end sounded a bit noisy and it got me thinking about how are the rockers and ...

1934 LH oil pressure gauge pipe connection

I am helping an old guy to restore his 1934 250cc LH and we are having problems figuring out how the oil pressure gauge feed pipe is connected to the oil relief valve. The bottom end of the pipe has a swaged end with a loose, male threaded fitting. The bike had been used and abused when he obtained ...

1934 250cc valves

The valves for the 1934 models are not available and so I have purchased the post 1936 valves, which are longer at 105mm. I need to shorten these valves to the same length as the earlier valves. Does anyone know the length of the earlier valves part number 450-33 and 420-33.

crankshaft spacer 1250-30

Hi
I have got to make a new crankshaft spacer for a 1934 250cc LG. Can anyone provide the thickness of the spacer. I can work out the inner and outer diameters. It is different thickness to the one fitted to an NG.
Many Thanks.

Valve guide oil feed

I am rebuilding a 1934 model FG 250cc. I need to get the cylinder head shot blasted but I am concerned about the the oil feed pipes that are fitted to the head. Can anyone tell me if these pipes are soldered into the head or if not, how are they fixed in place.
Regards Richard
