Thanks Nev. It did look like on cylinder got hotter than the other so difference in timing may have contributed.

We could have followed the interstate corridor where all the cities have congealed into a 100 mile metropolis but decided to follow the Chehalis river west and then turn north at Elma ...

We rode through more farmland and then into the coast range and through the community of Timber. The Timber road is winding and climbing with some 2nd gear corners and good pavement. Great fun.

Brian noticed the paint on the Norton cylinder head between the sparkplug and exhaust port had turned light gray and pulling the plugs showed it had gotten too hot. He attributed it to lugging the twin up some of yesterday's hills. He raised the needle and installed colder plugs.
