Re: 1937 VH Project
The 1937 parts books shows the later style tank rubbers, with a -37 part number for them, so I'd say the tank rubbers changed for the 1937 models.

Paul - most of what Trev does is for AOMCC members only and his contact details are in the Club magazine.
As far as I can see you're not a Club member?
(AOMCC membership is different to registering on the Forum.)

Re: Tire pressure 1954 VH
Maybe 28psi front/32psi rear?
I think Avon originally recommended the 'standard' modern pressure for these (36psi front/42psi rear) but some people on their Nortons (Andover Norton again!) found the tyres were wearing quickly and Avon then recommended lower pressures - but still higher than the low ...

Re: Avon tyres, lack of
According to my sources (Andover Norton!) Avon RoadRiders should be back in production in 2027. Dunno if they'll still be making the 19" sizes they had before though.
Andover Norton are recommending (and supplying) Heidenau K65 100/90-19 TL 57H Universal (Front or Rear) as an alternative. (This is ...

Re: oil pump for 1942 Ariel W/NG
Bruce - I've moved your post to here as these pumps are common to all 1929-on singles, with the exception of the feed plunger being increased in size in the late 1940s.
The effect of this change can cause a lot of discussion, possibly it puts too much oil into the engine (especially if the piston is ...

Re: Oil circulation procedure
It's connected the correct way (lower union on timing cover is the return) - and it should start picking up within a few kicks.
Do as Nev suggests and check that there's no blockage between the timing chest and the oil tank. (I'd be surprised if this stopped the pump shifting something up the return ...
