Re: Re-positioning Coils on the Arrow
On a past build I put both coils in the dummy tank toolbox with suitable packing. Much easier to install and fault find. Worked fine and I never had an ignition problem either. Terry Langley.

Re: Petrol Tank Lining
I bought an Arrow a few years ago that had been lined and it all started to peel off. I had to cut the top off the tank to clean it all out and then weld a new plate on. I have never had a problem with 2 strokes and would never use the stuff.

MYSTERY SCREWS IN BASE OF CRANKCASE
Cleaning up a spare crankcase for a future engine build exposed two screws under the crankcase into both chambers. I have not removed them but they are about 3mm. I will hopefully add a couple of pictures to this topic. Does anybody know why someone would do this?

MIKUNI 28 on an Arrow SS
I fancy trying a Mikuni 28mm carburetor (which I already have) on my Arrow SS. Does anyone already have one fitted to their Arrow? If so was it worth doing and what jets, needles, settings etc. did you use? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks Terry Langley.
Thanks Terry Langley.

Re: PRIMARY CHAIN ADJUSTER (stripped??)
The saddle nut was still on the rod and when the rod was turned clockwise as you do to tighten the chain it just stayed there. The rod just pulled off the saddle nut confirming a stripped thread. The rod thread was good but the saddle nut was stripped. I put a spare nut with a good thread on the rod ...

Re: PRIMARY CHAIN ADJUSTER
Hi Ivor. Yes, in fact using a pair of self gripping very thin nose plyers I can pull the rod out up to the fixed nut so I am sure either the saddle nut or the rod is stripped. Should have the chaincase off by the weekend.
Thanks for your interest though. Any thoughts on why nylon for the saddle nut ...

PRIMARY CHAIN ADJUSTER
After a lovely 40ish mile ride in the sunshine last week I kept my Arrow running to empty the carb as usual but noticed an unhealthy rattle which I recognised as the primary chain needing adjustment. The chain had more than an inch of slack, not good!!! Turning the adjuster made no difference so ...

MIKUNI VM28 ON EBAY. WOULD IT IMPROVE MY ARROW SS?
Hi All. There is a Mikuni VM 28 carburettor on e-bay. Almost new and bought for an Arrow but now not required. Does anyone have any experience of fitting this carburettor to an Arrow SS? The question really is, is it worth spending money for very little improvement on a good running SS with a 376 ...
