Re: Sturmey Archer 1931 gearbox grease level

Thanks for replies so far. Yes it uses semi fluid grease. I found one post that suggested that as long as the lower shaft was covered it would be fine as the great would work its way round. Sturmey Archer 1931 gearbox grease level

Asking for advice or reference about the level of grease to be maintained in a Sturmey Archer gearbox 3 speed 1930 ish.
My Ariel Model E 1928 was originally built with a Burman Q gearbox but a previous owner discarded it and fitted a Sturmey Archer of the type used on the Ariel 1931 VB. Instead of a ...

Sadly there is what I can only believe is a scam advert for a 1928 fuel tank on Facebook Ariel motorcycles group. Please beware. This was sold in Sweden in May 2024 and if you check the Ariel talk section of this forum under 1928 model A/B restoration help wanted you will find it went to a member in ...

Re: 1940's 350???

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I did have a very quick look into what's involved in getting something like this back to the uk, and you need to go into it with an idea of the likely total bill. There are several internet bidding sites that these auctioneers use as well as their own, not ...
