ARR, re my last posting I have now put my specs on and found the correct main jet number 'tis 150, it was the needle jet size I gave certainly confused me but got it correct this time, I hope, Kind regards

I am returning to this topic having had problems with the W/ng on a Mosel jolly couple of months ago. About 18 months ago whilst again in Germany I handed my complete carb to Roger Gwynn for a refurbishment, subsequently returned minus a couple of bits but this is another story.
So fitted the same ...

possibly added during its life after the war, I wasn't aware it would be a tad unusual probably why it wasn't returned, someone's

need was greater than mine!

small bellmouth

Having had my W/ng carb refurbished it was returned sans the small filtered bell mouth 1.1/4" diameter, the refurbishers cannot trace it or it seems supply a replacement, sigh, would anyone have a suitable one in their box of bits they could relinquish?

I have been to the Luc rally in Normandy a few times, this is situated on the landing beaches, if I recall correctly we went through the tunnel, I am local to it, then rode, on occasions drove, down to the area, I have only been on later bikes, 50's Velocette and G80cs but I do have a W/ng so it may ...

as suggested XJJ is a London registration and 'X' corresponds to 1959, I doubt it is a reregistration.

I think I read on Draganfly about resleeving etc of a worn early carb, there was a reference number but I couldn't find it, does anyone know the approximate cost pse?
