Re: Smiths Chronometric
Hi Klaus,
This speedo was used on a 1959 Triumph 3TA. It might have been used on other bikes, but I don't have all the other years of the 'Smiths Motor Cycle Equipment' catalogues to check.
Suck it and see!
Cheers
Richard

Re: 1939 OG/OH250 main bearings.
Thanks Roger. I had a look on the club's web library but the 1939 singles parts book is missing some pages & I hadn't spotted the 250 singles doc. I'll blame the vino

1939 OG/OH250 main bearings.
Well, in a proverbial pile of bits I've acquired is a 1939 OG/OH bottom end. Quite an interesting find for me as it's the first steel Ariel crankshaft I've seen. Documentation for these models seems thin on the ground so could anyone tell me if the engine used the same bearings and stroke as the ...

Can anyone identify this pre-War Ariel?
A chum has asked me to tell him which model his Father-In-Law is astride in this photograph.
My knowledge (I wouldn't call it expertise..) only goes as far as the Huntmaster, so could someone let me (him) know?
Many thanks in advance,
Richard

Single flywheel A7-836
Would anyone have encountered a cast, DS flywheel with the casting number A7-836, and better still know what it's off?
I bought a crank which has one mated to conrod A7-473 and TS flywheel A7-856 which, according to Roger Gwynn's useful "Fly_wheels_and_Con_rods_info" document, could be used with D ...
