Re: Burman gearbox cover

Well the string/rubber band plan worked a treat. The rubber band keeps all the parts together especially the outer plate which kept popping off and dropping, when you want to remove it as the case is nearly home you just pull up the string to expose the band then snip it and ping its out.
So thanks ...

Re: Burman gearbox cover

Hi thanks for your replies. Yes I watched the video before proceeding and several times since to see if I had missed anything, but with a bench assembly gravity is helping to keep the machanism in place as the gear box is almost on its back so to speak, my problem is that because its on the bike and ...

Re: Headlight glass

Hi Bob the part is like a curved flat tapered spring metal clip retained inside the underside of the lamp shell by a piece of steel wire and it has a shaped end to locate around the lamp rim and so is supposed to stay in place by its shape and tension. Regards Nick

Re: Headlight glass

Hi Yes Dave you are correct it is the clip underneath that retains the rim to the shell that I seek. Regards Nick

Re: Headlight glass

Hi Dave
Thanks for your reply I rather thought it was the fluted one and I much prefer it. It is also missing the small clip underneath the shell which retains the rim so I'm I bit wary of it falling out, I'll try to source one. Thanks again Nick
