Yes, I have used the club gearbox spares recently as well, very good service and seems cheaper than Draganfly, but I had been given Draganfly vouchers so used them first.
I will try using 90W gear oil instead of engine oil that was in the gearbox.

I don't have the tools or skill to make spiral grooves. Are 'v' grooves easier to do and would they be as good?
I have also read that some use loctite to hold bushes in place if they are not too loose. Any thoughts on this?

I have just purchased two gear bushes from Draganfly for my GB gearbox fitted to a 1957 Ariel VH. The old bushes were a loose fit in the gears and presumably they should be a tight fit.
The new bushes have come as blank bushes, so do they need oil holes drilling and spiral oil ways as in the ...

Ok thanks. Is there any recommended torque settings, or just as tight as you can do it up?

The oil seal I have taken out of the gearbox is all rubber, but the oil seal on Draganfly web site seams to have a metal outer. Presumably it will fit OK into the oil seal holder I have?
Also the procket spacer is slightly worn were the old oil seal sat. But the other side of the spacer is as new ...

The shock treatment worked well thanks.
I can see the oil seal now. It looks like oil is getting past the seal and presumably it will leak more when the shaft is moving.
One of the blanking plugs is also weeping. Can these be removed and reseated easily?

I've removed the outer chain case, primary chain and chain wheel, but now struggling to take off the shock absorber nuts. Is there a easy way of removing them?
Also how easy is it to take the whole gearbox out?
