Dear fellow enthusiasts,
My question is about the small condenser inside DKX-4a-distributor. The part number is 400308. It is available at Draganfly. I am curious if there is any other alternative which can be purchased elsewhere? Thank you.

Re: Exporting an Ariel WNG to the USA
Hi Keith,
I have imported bikes into USA. The import process into USA is very straightforward and much simpler than it is described by most folks. The buyer needs to work with a customs broker here in USA to handle import paperwork. Again that too is much simpler than it sounds. If the bike has not ...

Amal carb 276B/1J as fitted to 1946 NG
Dear fellow enthusiasts,
I am recommissioning this 1946 NG. While cleaning the carb, I noticed this little hole in the flange. Please see the highlighted yellow circle. What is the purpose of this hole? It must weaken the fuel mixture. Should it be plugged?
Thanks for help.

Re: 1946 Ariel NG
Hi Roger and Simon,
The seller informs that it was imported from UK about 18 years ago. The frame is AP 3618 and engine is BK 4894. Here is a better photo.

Question about Altette horn
Dear fellow enthusiasts,
I am curious how to distinguish an original Altette horn from a replica. Are there any markings different on original horns?
Thanks

Interesting Ariel in Hyderabad, India
Dear fellow enthusiasts,
I recently visited Hyderabad, India. Here was a lineup of British bikes as static display at a wedding party. People here often display curious items at parties. The Ariel paint scheme looks appropriate for a party!

Petrol shelf life

I hope riding season is to a good start. We are still waiting for some warm weather here in Minnesota. I am curious about shelf life of petrol left in motorcycle tanks. It is common wisdom that petrol left in tanks is going to lose volatile components. I am curious if any ...

Dear fellow enthusiasts,
I don’t intend to offend anyone but this most likely is a scam. The photos of same bike were uploaded on another website in December 2012. If you look carefully at Ebay listing, the first two photos have copyright information inscribed in faint font (devo4kaskerco). When ...
