surprisingly the gears and shafts were in good order the speedo drive has been fixed now.

Finally getting some progress on the bike now, some adjustments for the gearchange to get all the gears.

Have one of the exact same Bikes (Birthday present from my wife in the late 70's) and also had two 3 litre V6 Capri's Great minds thinking alike? Nev

HI Nev,
The Capri is not mine unfortunately always wanted one, but fell down the rabbit hole with motorcycles.
This is at the panel beaters where we are getting the tank fixed, lots of holes in the tank and getting the bracket for gear change welded back on.

Great to see it getting on.You seem to be missing e8 1061 from the gear linkage,this was a double swivel at the top.it made the gearchange easier.http://arielownersmcc.com/members_only/ ... ated16.jpg

Isn't that it lying on the bench between the two lower frame members??
