1930 model G pushrod tubes.
Hi, are the pushrod tubes for the model G, push in or threaded into the head.cheers.

Push in they can turn freely make sure to seal them in the head .....Chris

I seem to remember that Merv Kendall had overhauled a few G engines and said that he'd seen both types. Possibly they changed during the production year so keep an open mind about this.

Yes I've seen both types. my 1930 has the threaded ends. I don't know how the others stay in place, unless they rely on the fit. Nev

The head of my motor came away freely, I assumed they were pushed in and put the head on again, I should have checked but was more interested in the state of the bore.

Clearly that type does rely on the fit. The lower ends are slightly reduced in diameter for a small distance.. You would have to align them to the holes in the aluminium sheet cover as they are a "reasonable" fit. The original breather (oiler??) is clearly in view there. It lets stuff in, not out.
