BH engine

is this engine number BH 19075 a RAF or army engine and wear did it go to i got it from Hampshire

BH is the army one. RBH is the RAF one. An engine could be swapped at any time when the machine was repaired. There's originally a plate with contract number on the rear section of the back mudguard and If you refer to British Forces Motorcycles (the book) you will get dating and delivery details documented from there A frame # in lieu would be the next best identifier..
