917UXB 1951 trials on Ebay

Post by paul.jameson »

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ariel-Trials ... SwKWJctNuY includes a log book 917UXB which has engine number AJ1397 and frame number XG21407. The engine number visible on the bike is LC780 (which is 1955 VH) and the frame is HT type - probably a replica. An XG frame is rigid.

A mismatch is apparent.

It seems that our vendor has not yet sold the bike as it is back on Ebay. Can anyone spot any part which might actually form part of a 1951 trials Ariel?
