Simon

I should have said the paint is RS Paints Ariel Deep Claret .which is cellulose, and easy to use in rattle can or spray form. Its all flatted down with 1500 wet and dry and polished with T Cut metallic which is lots better than the standard T cut at producing a high gloss. I had the frame powder coated black before painting it as I needed to get the rust out of the nadgery areas and I thought powder coat would seal it well. I over sprayed the tank with RS two pack gloss lacquer which is not Iso-Cyanate based and safer to use, but is petrol proof. (BSA B31 tank paint washed off at first petrol spill and I had to re-do it and lacquered it, hard lesson learned!
). The rest is just painted. I used chrome wrap for the flutes, not too shiny if lacquered, but fine if just applied after paint, as I was worried about the flutes getting polished through on the edges if I rechromed it, massively cheaper than a re-chrome as well!

Best Regards
