Ariel Square 4 logbook on EBAY. Identification Details not discernible..reg given as OET 38? Starting Price £400 !!!!

OET 384 (Alternative reg numbers checked and match found for OET 384).
Frame No: PR49??
Engine No: Not Known
1st Registered: 23rd July 1956 (from DVLA check)

Photo on Ebay is out of focus so not possible to identify any further details.

Seller says :
"ORIGINAL FRAME WAS DAMAGED AND RUSTED THROUGH , AND DO NOT HAVE IT" ,
"THIS COULD BE USED ON AN ORIGINAL FRAME WITH NO NUMBERS ON IT"....well clearly, as we all know by now with all the information / experiences of members on this forum, that would not be legitimate as far as DVLA are concerned.

Accompanied by a picture of what seems to be a very nicely repainted late Square 4 frame!
How odd.

The frame in the photo is 1953 or earlier as it does not have the step in the top tube which accommodates the SU carb used from 1954 - onwards. This does not encourage faith in the vendor.

I assume the frame is the 1952 one that the Ebay seller has up for sale here as a 'basket case' assortment of Square 4 parts:

Cheers mate, probably worth a DVLA marker as the seller says the original frame was rotted out so the reg should not reappear on anything else
