Lighting Switch Removal

Post by Mick D »

Hi
I'm trying to remove the lighting switch, (part no 31340), from the nacelle instrument panel on my 58 FH, I've removed clip 308234 but the switch is not moving,(Panel is an original metal one and all switch wiring is disconnected).
I suspect the PO may have bonded the switch to the panel or paint may be contributing to an interference fit but before I start investigating these possibilities I just wanted to check I haven't missed some other retaining device.
I can't see anything in the parts list or Draganfly catalogue - is there something I've missed?
Regards Mick

The switch is just held in place by the clip Mick. There should be an 'O' ring type gasket which may have caused it to stick. Other than that it should easily come out. Good luck with it, Keith.

I think some get "glued in" as quite a few of my old ones have been chipped by people attempting to prise them out. You might need to apply a bit of pressure carefully to start it moving away from the surface. Nev

Mick, mine was a very tight fit in the hole. With the casquette in bits, I had to flex the switch/speedo panel to & fro while pushing the switch from behind with my thumbs...
cheers

Thanks Chaps
After the reassurance that I'd not missed something I gave it another go and it's now safely out :)
Turned out to be a very tight fit in the panel.
That's one more job ticked off the ever growing list of things to do.
Regards Mick
