Ariel W/ng gear lever
My gear lever is alloy, the thing sits to high to enable a pleasant change, on the Irish this year my hip locked and I couldn't lift my foot to change down, what I could do with is a steel lever which I could bend a tad, if I lower the alloy one on it's splines it fouls the foot rest, are steel levers available for this box and if so does anyone have one I could aquire? , even purchase ! kind regards

Re: Ariel W/ng gear lever
I have a steel lever available suitable for this gearbox. Unfortunately, someone has had it nicely chrome plated but no doubt you could apply paint to remove the shine! PM me if interested.

Re: Ariel W/ng gear lever
They used rubber up till late 41 with two different lengths according to the parts book with 5 1/2 and 7 inch Centres . The non rubber equipped ones are after that and I measured 7 and 7 1/2 centres. Made big for the army boots and might suit your purposes better. My wife has the same problem as you and can't tilt/ lift her foot very high due to an operation on it some years back. Nev
