I'm struggling with the dynamo pinion. I've had the puller on it with a bit of heat, but it's not budging. Am I missing something?

Put the pressure on, then give it thump.

. Use a much more substantial puller. Put a good load on it and heat the sprocket as quickly as you can then tap the bolt on your puller with a hammer sharply. Leave it tensioned and it may just come off by itself. A lightweight puller is no use with this sort of application. The best pullers have a fine thread on the bolt that applies the force. Nev

In case you were wondering what I was up to, I've been messing around with a recalcitrant parts washer pump. Next job is to finish my gudgeon pin extractor, make a puller for the camshaft pinion and think about how I'm going to remove the crankshaft pinion.

Any advice on that one?
