Re: Field stands
What do they look like?. Do you have a photo?. I would say they do need setting up The length is critical. If too long they won't grip on a sealed surface They are not a perfect device even when done right. They will bend if the bike is on a slope fore or aft . I often use first gear or put it against a kerb, rock or stump if down hill. Nev

There are no dimensions given but a previous listing of an indian made stand quoted 19.5 inches centre of pivot to end of stand.
How long is yours?

Re: Field stands
Alan, the burned one was - I think - original, but it proved to short.
You will have to do some trail & error to find the right lenght.
Burney is now with my son so I cant measure, but maybe pics will give you a clue.

Re: Field stands
Hi, I inhereted a repro when I purchased my WNG the boss provided was totally inappropriate I took photos of field that was still original then designed my own boss which made by a friend.
With some minor adjust with washer to get the stop in the right place then used a good quality metal glue to hold in place happy to provide drg if I can find it.
