WNG front wheel bearings 4040-29

I know it is a long shot but do any of you WNG chaps have a source for the front wheel 4040-29 bearings other than Drags who want £60 a bearing. having spoken to them the high price is because they only sell about half a dozen a year...

They are pretty much impossible to get. Any I have managed to find are old stock. It's not a bearing that would be produced today in that style and if it is it will be a short run item and cost heaps, Nev

Drags show it as 0.5" x 1.437 x 0.531 (ID x OD x depth) and looking at the image on Drags site it looks like the bearing number is 30202 and it has been adapted with an outer lipped collar (to increase the diameter and width) and an insert.

A 30202 measures 0.5906 x 1.378 x 0.4626. and sells for about £10 on the internet.....but you would need to find someone to do the conversion

The axle size is 1/2" It would be quite easy to make one bigger where the races go but the fit and finish should be good to work properly. The axle is a bit on the flimsy side as original. I like to keep things original but.... If you keep water out of a tapered roller they last a very long time. Marine WB grease like SHELL Nautilus would be the go.. Nev

Definitely...are you going to turn a few out....still have not got one as a new addition to the shed got in the way

I have a set of this bearings for sale. 50 Euro for the two bearings plus post.Delivery to the Anual or the German Rally is possible. I think they came from Draganfly in the 90th.
