Hi Rudy, looks lovely. Do you have an air-cleaner in place? The routing of the petrol pipe from the O/S of the tank looks odd. When you say 'Projekt' what needs doing?

Looking more closely, do you have a petrol tap on the N/S? I think the usual arrangement is a three legged brass? piece with the pipes dropping from each tap to meet under the carb and then to the float chamber.

@ Klaus: Spring may be real, at the moment only with red number

@ Roger: Yes in 62 years of use the old lady experienced obviously some changes.
Thank for explainig me the originally routing of the fuel lines. At the moment there is only 1 petrol tap.
And yes I have now an aircleaner on the bike.

I also have made some further minor improvements:

oil filter

anti wet sump valve

oil pressure switch

indicator ligths for ignition and oil pressure

I was assured that it was 3 years ago, only a few hundred miles since then.

But when I have the chance to get an Coupling gear Extractor (or a drawing of this) I'll do the job by my own only to be sure......

Now that is going to be very effective (maybe a bit too much so) as it has full compensation between the shoes. I would suggest a decent 'pull-off' spring or a sprung sleeve between the levers as there can be excessive 'Self Servo' with this set-up .

A common arrangement is for the cable to pull on one lever while the other is operated by an adjustable shaft. With this arrangement it is difficult to keep both shoes operating with the same pressure so it can be less effective.

My "MkIV Lester Grant" TLS Brake fitted to my 'VH':

I'll be very interested to hear how it performs on the road.

Hi Bob,

yes I hope this brake will be a little bit crispier than the Ariel "FullHub" brake. It is from a BMW R50-R69S and it is indeed a little bit tricky to adjust. One of the levers has a adjusting cam, you had to fix first, the second will follow. Your tip with the spring between the levers may helpfull, w'll see.

On my BSA "Longstroke" A7 I installed a brake similar to your "Lester Grant". Works really fine.
