Hi I recently posted a few photos replying to a wanted advert for a sidecar , my photos appeared the right way up when I selected them at my end but when uploaded they appeared upside down I went back to see if I could rotate them like eBay style but nothing seems possible.
Can anyone tell me what I’ve done wrong so I am try not to do it again .
Cheers
Kevin

Re: Photos upside down
Did you use an ipad to take the photo's?
As I understand it, there's some information embedded in the photo as to which way up your phone, camera or other device was.
Ipad photo's lose that.
The solution is to edit the photo's on your computer - rotate and save them (even if they seem right way up).

Re: Photos upside down
It's odd isn't it. I think a bigger problem for left handers (how we hold the phone).
Apparently there's quite a bit of information embedded in a photo - possibly including where and when it was taken.

wot Brenton said
It's to do with the image rotation information being stored in the images "metadata" (information about the image).
I believe there isn't a standard, which every device adheres to, so depending on what took the original image (and how it was rotated) and what is vewing the image then it could well end up the wrong way round
