s4 mk 1 Frame rake angle
Does anyone out there know what the head stock rake angle should be for a square four Mk 1 frame. Thanks

Re: s4 mk 1 Frame rake angle
Brian
I am certain that the head angle is 27 degrees for singles twins and fours (with the exception of the HT where both 27 and 26 degrees were available), but I cannot find my specs to verify that figure. Regards

Re: s4 mk 1 Frame rake angle
Sorry Simon ,
Motoliner have looked at my frame and think that the alterations done wont make that much difference. They reckon that the rake angle is right to about one degree, and that if they cut my frame, and alter the tubes to the measurements you sent me,. they would have to alter the front engine plates. They can't weigh up how and why four tubes have been altered but the rake angle has stayed the same. So I'm going to carry on with the restoration, first job when the frame returns will be to make all the frame lugs that are missing. I've already made the front tank bracket from the drawing and photos you sent me, it weighs a ton.
