Re: The KH project
John you did made a very neat system, nice!
I think I have seen a similar video on youtube, very disturbing! That video was making me uncertain about the auto valve.
I became a bit tired that the oil tank did drain into the sump after a couple of weeks so for now I fitted a nice 5/16'' tap and a ''reminding cord'' as a measure.
Do you have a swingarm or a early KH?
Regards, Paul

Re: The KH project
It is something that I keep meaning to do, that is to take some good clear photos, the only one that I have is in a rather cluttered garage/workshop, see attached.
The others are of my NH350 and myself in my younger days on my lovely Domi 88 when I fancied myself as a James Dean.
Regards,
John P.

Re: The KH project
Thank you John, Dominators are lovely machines, allways fancied a Featherbed Norton. Not bad as a James Dean lookalike by the way...
Your iron engined single is looking great, and of course your KH! There is something about the rigid/anstey KG/KH which did apeal to me and made me decide to buy my basket case KH. Must be the pleasant pre- and early post war lines I guess. Yes the pin stripes on the petrol tank where beyond my skills, so I did leave it that way. Did spray my petrol tank myself, which looks fairly ok, but from a distant

Hmm... did not know a later alluminium head can be fitted on a early engine with the short studs.

Re: The KH project
Last weekend Jenny, Ben and I did visit the 34th International West kent Run at the Friars in Aylesford. This year there where more then 350 participants. On Friday there was a social run, a real challenge with temperatures touching 32 degree celsius... And on saturday a lovely run in the middle of the beautifull surroundings of Kent with 27 degree celsius but along with a pleasant breeze! After a coffee stop at Headcorn, we arrived at lunch time at Hole Park. After the lunch we went towards Rolverden and then back westwards to Benenden and Goudhurst across the river the Tiese. Then up to Horsemonden and back to Yalding and East Malding. After a 90 miles trip we where back in Aylesford. The KH went very well, did'nt miss a beat with no oil weeping from the engine! The same for Jenny's W/NG and Ben's 1932 Ariel Sloper. Excellent weekend!

Re: The KH project
Hi Paul,
Good to hear that the run-out went so well for you. You have obviously done a very good and thorough job in rebuilding your KH, since the engine is oil tight in all that heat (as it should be)!
BR,
Keith
