Slow movement in the trenches of my ISDT replica campain.
Grafting the rear end bits from one rigid frame on to the front of another rigid frame.
I molested (ehh,.. destroyed) a orphan swingarm frame for the 1" tubing.
Found that swingarm frame tubing has a massive wall thickness of 2.7mm .
This rigid frame has insides of : bottom tubes 21.5 and top tubes 22.5 mm. (1.95mm and 1.45mm wall thickness)
Yes, Ariel used different sized tubing, the top tubes frame parts are thinner walled then the bottom tubes.....hmmmm

Hydraulic cylinder repairers/suppliers have all sizes and wall thicknesses of high grade solid drawn steel tubing,and even stainless if you want .....all in swageable grades too ,so its bends and swages without cracking.....Some frames have two sizes of tube swaged one inside the other for reinforcement.The much hyped Reynolds 531 is nothing more than 4140 chrome moly ,easily available but expensive.
