Your old girder bushes with the spiral are non-standard so this is not the first time your bushes have been replaced.

I found one reference to COMPO H (which was stamped into the smaller bushes) on the web which was the ' Phosphor Bronze Co. London' the ref was dated dated 1938. They had a factory in Aston, Birmingham.
