WD lighting switch on Ebay
Re: WD lighting switch on Ebay
found a picture of the immobiliser.
Looks like you simply remove the top end of the HT lead and put it in your pocket .... thus rendering your bike thief proof (unless of course the thief has the same bit ...)

Bytheway, I have one of those bulb fittings lying around, anyone interested? possibly a rare part but useless for a LED light.

Re: WD lighting switch on Ebay
PDC-pretty darned chuffed. Yes, Dave I landed the big one!
What a price ? Well, it does not seem out of line to me for such a rare bit of kit in fine condition. I did bid high to get it because I reasoned that the time spent searching for one and possibly not finding one for a very long time would delay the completion date for this 44 W/NG. It is done now and I can concentrate on assembly. Don't ask me for an exact date as I am notorious for collecting and not completing.
I will need a wiring diagram for this model if anyone has one, please.
A very big shout out to King John Nash for facilitating this completion. Firstly, he made available the proper headlamp panel with push button (hope you are still pleased with your trade) and secondly, John posted the heads up on the eBay listing, which I somehow missed.
I am so pleased that we have a place on the Forum to discuss/buy/sell/trade W/NG parts and trivia. We in the Colonies are impressed.

Re: WD lighting switch on Ebay
Thanks Simon. As John is pointing out that fourth diagram is the same as the civilian one which is not correct.
John, I am unable to get past the password to open your link. I am using the September Cheval members username and password as I can't find the Oct. edition. Has it changed this month?

Re: WD lighting switch on Ebay
The fourth diagram is indeed the civilian one, as I note in the text. But as I said, you want the last one in the blog post, in the section on LJW connectors - as John has clarified.
cheers
