Italian W/NG
I'm going to transfer my W/NG adventures to a new thread, as it's now resting quietly in my workshop after its long journey.
First question, relating to girder forks of which I have absolutely no experience - though they seem to work very well.
I thought that I had a star washer missing, since in the pictures I could only see one on the offside. I now find two on the offside:
I was mislead slightly by the part numbers in List 15, which shows the same number for both sides; thought Drags parts list shows a 'thin dummy one' 4668-35.
I guess I have a pair here?

Re: Italian W/NG
Another question chaps:
I gather I should have a rod operated brake:
Is that right? Currently the cables goes all the way to the brake arm.

Should have a rod here's mine. Got it started yet?
My Canadian VH has turned up in Tilbury and I'm picking it up tomorrow
We're now responsible for 2 more Ariels the country. Back where they belong

Re: Italian W/NG
No time to attempt a start yet - a few things to do: fuel line, move the float chamber, fit a kickstart (coming from Pete Kemp) - so maybe a few days.
cheers

Re: Italian W/NG
Looks like a real Ariel tank - pressed cap lugs and chain hole.
Unusual (Indian?) cap. Cast top, pressed steel lower part; BSW thread on the knob.
cheers

Re: Italian W/NG
But that is too thin. It don't have the two flats, which prevent it from turning in the brake arm.
