I was on the m20 site and people were talking about the best spark plug it looks like the champion L10 is good for the M20. What about the 1940 WNG?

Re: spark plugs
Don't use any with a resistor in it. I am going to buy some today I will get back to you with a recommendation. Nev
OK after some deliberation I recommend NGK B5HS (or equivalent) for the OHV models with normal compression ratios and use.

Re: spark plugs
i use NGK cos I can buy them cheaply in big boxes.
The start the bike and run ok, but don't survive long in a "rich" environment.
In my experience, if you are running a trial and error with your carb mixture, then NGK plugs won't tolerate that for very long.

Re: spark plugs
"Colder" plugs will exhibit what you describe. If she's running sooty use a couple of numbers hotter till it's sorted out. A lot of idling and non loaded running will do the same. Oils for our bikes need friction modifiers (for the cams) . Traces of the additives can short out the insulators of any make of plug, if you are unlucky, in a relatively short time. Nev
