In Australia I've only seen one other running on the road. My old reliable has been on the road since I bought it about 15 years ago. It was imported from the UK and restored (sort of) here. The good thing about a military bike is you don't spend a lot of money on paint and chrome. A wipe over with warm water (mud) or a petrol soaked rag if greasy is all that's required to look "right". Greasing pushes the dirt out of the parts that wear and I remove and flush the oil tank on each oil change. Plenty of people just walk past and don't look at it though. Shiny bikes attract the fickle. ( That's my story and I'm sticking to it) I do love a bike that's restored correctly, and just how it left the factory and also one that has enough original paint to leave it as it's found. (with a bit of oily rag and TLC ). If what you have is all you've got Ariels mix and match very well.. The main thing is get them out of the shed and on the road and cared for. Like a lot of the riders they are not new any more. Nev

In Canada, we think that there are probably only 4 or 5 but that is a complete guess as there is no registry. Just going by the known ones and not considering any that may be in hidden places.
