Speedo repairs

Post by dave.owen »

I've just had excellent service from A Gagg & sons, I had a terrible Triumph speedo, they took it in and rebuilt it to Ariel spec for £177, all within a week. Complete with trip and bracket.

please note the web site has the wrong address, they now only do speedo repairs and speedo cable

I'm on it, too. The last repair (by magneticmetrics, if you know who I mean) lasted 12 miles.

As far as I am aware, Gaggs take their speedos to be done with Russell (cant remember contact details but I'm sure others will know who I mean) based in Arnold Nottingham. Not 100% sure all of them but definitely quite a few. I believe this is the man. http://www.chronometrics.co.uk/

I had my last couple of Chronometrics overhauled by AJ Pople at
www.speedorepairs.co.uk in Aldershot.
That was some time ago but they were good

on the Sittingbourne week organised by the Men Of Kent VMCC my reasonably newly repaired speedo began to jump from zero to 30mph and back again continously, I phoned Phil Wood who told me a spring had broken, dunno which spring, and ask it be returned, this I did and Saturday received it back no charge! Thanks Phil, what can one say about service like this except a simple thanks?. kind regards
