I kept waiting for the traffic to clear!
Thanks Steve, you have gone above and beyond with your help. I really appreciate it.
If that's low beam, I'm really looking forward to my new bits arriving! I can't wait to finally have a decent light.

Over the weekend I installed the wiring for the hid unit and hid the ballast box too. I couldn't refit the reflector as it didn't arrive in the post in time, so that will be the completed job tonight, and hopefully I can post some night photos.
Here's a few if the set up, hopefully you can see what I have done:

Its not the easiest place to work in Rob. I've my bike up on a lift which gets it up to head height, that helps a bit.
My only problem is that when I had my eyes lasered a few years ago, I had one eye done long distance and the other for reading. It works very well and I have no complaints, but when I'm working in confined spaces the wrong eye often gets in the way.

I have a home made wooden bench to build bikes on but it's not practical to roll built bikes on and off by myself. I'd like a hydraulic lift but they cost a lot and I can usually find something I'd rather buy!
Of course if someone donated a hydraulic lift I'd be happy!

About halfway through you can just make out the hi beam as I switched it on, it doesn't make a huge difference. I'll probably won't even bother with it.
I'm usually a bit nervous of that switch after one left me in the once at 55mph!!!!
