well.
The hosting company had an issue with us, along the lines of large amount of unexpected resources being use; which would usually equate to hacking activity.
We couldn't find anything wrong. The hosting company also said they'd take a look and lo, and behold, we're back up today ...
anyhow. Hurrah !
