How to "create a new topic"

Go into the forum area, in which you wish to post, and click on the "new topic" button:
(May 2024 - just noticed that after many version upgrades the 'new topic' button has moved to the other side of the screen, before the 'Search this forum...' box. I'll need to sort out a new image...
