Forum not remembering me

Every time I log in recently ,the forum does not remember my login name ,in spite of ticking the box every time.

The site kept me logged in continuously until a day or so ago and now I have to log back in after a few hours of inactivity.

I tried dumping the old shortcut and using the new one . What is meta-redirection? because that comes up. I have to type my username and it still does the rest. Won't be on the site for a while (bit over a week) after today Nev

...probably a combination of both Chris, plus acid rain, road-rage, radiation, white bread, genetics, the hole in the ozone, GM , taxation,

My problem seems to have gone away and the system has remembered me all the last three attempts

This might not be a forum issue.
The remembering of user/password combinations is a function of your browser and the forum.

I can also tell you that the forum shouldn't keep you logged in continuously anyway.
The session limit is 90 mins (which is alot) and then it will require a login.
