Hoping this link works - me in the sidecar, Huw Parsons riding - ascending Long Mynd in Shropshire on the Not The Severn Valley Rally a few years ago.

The descent was scary but my camera ran out of memory before we got there. Bike is a 1930 Model B I think. We had fortified ourselves with a pint of Black Rat cider beforehand.

Very nice scenery to! Two years ago we stayed at a campsite near Church Stretton area and did some walking in the hills. Beautiful!

it was a great weekend that one.
yes, it's a 1930 model B and sports sidecar. That sidevalve engine is great for chair pulling with the lower ratio sprocket.
Not the fastest on main roads though. I really like the 3 speed Sturmey gearbox; cant think why Ariel didn't use them on all models at that time.
The brakes are OK till they get hot which they certainly did on the 1 in 4 decent the other side of the Mynd.

Top fun!
